A person has died in a tiger attack in Sauri, Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality-1, Kusum, Banke.

Local 62-year-old Marichman Bhandari died in a tiger attack on Saturday afternoon.

The tiger attacked him around 1:30 pm on Saturday while he was grazing cows in a nearby forest. 'We had gone to the Gwala together, the tiger suddenly attacked, we screamed and the tiger took us away,' said eyewitness Pimlal Dangi.

He said that he managed to escape after the tiger tried to attack him too.
