At stall number 1, Rashan Pandey, a student in grade 11, is selling dishes including raspberries.

Himal Pandey, a student of class 9, is preparing and selling dishes including ma:ma, pakoda and others. He said that the prepared dishes will be sold till evening, which is his business experience from last year.

He said that he is having fun along with earning money from this and has learned skills. All the students of Mahendra Namuna Secondary School in Tamghas, the district headquarters, are participating in the food festival. Some students are busy in the kitchen. Some are selling ready-made dishes, while some are telling customers. The dishes prepared by the students are being bought by students, teachers and others present.

A food festival has been organized in the school as part of extracurricular activities. Its coordinator Giri Prasad Khanal said that the food festival was organized with the aim of introducing students to food dishes, developing cooking skills and not limiting them to book knowledge.

According to him, 44 stalls have been set up under the management of the school so that they can earn income with the investment of the students. Where food such as celery roti, kheer, pickles, gulabjabun, panipuri, chatpate, potato chop, various ma:ma, pakoda, fruits and bread rolls are made. Four hundred students are directly participating in the festival.

The school principal Krishna Prasad Marasini said that the food festival was organized like last year. 'The food festival was organized to identify the inherent talent of the students,' he said, 'The enthusiasm of the students has also added more encouragement.'

School Management Committee Chairman Ram Prasad Panthi said that the food festival organized for the all-round development of the students will be a learning experience for everyone.

Resunga Municipality Deputy Chief Amrita Devi Kunwar, while formally inaugurating the food festival, said that this step of the school will be a learning experience for the students. 'Seeing the business style of the students, this festival seemed very effective,' she said, 'Such programs should be held elsewhere for the learning of the students.' More than 1,100 students are studying at Mahendra Namuna Secondary School. This school has been organizing the food festival with the participation of students since last year.
