A turnover of Rs 300 million has been recorded at the National Industrial Exhibition, Agriculture, Technology and Tourism Festival that began in Butwal on December 30.
The organizers claim that 800,000 visitors visited the festival organized by the Rupandehi Industry Association, Butwal.
The exhibition, which began on Poush 3, had 450 commercial stalls of products produced by domestic industries. According to the pre-planned plan, about 800,000 visitors visited and a turnover of about Rs 300 million was generated, said the association's treasurer, Vishal Balebase.
Speaking at the exhibition ceremony, Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya said that the aspirations of prosperity cannot be fulfilled unless an investment environment is created.
He commented that the federal government has done things to weaken the morale of industrialists. He said that since creating an investment-friendly environment is the main responsibility of the state, it should be made simple, easy and trustworthy.
He assured that the contribution of industrialists to developing Butwal as an economic hub will continue in the coming days.
Those who performed the best cultural programs at the exhibition and various people who excelled in the industrial pavilions were also honored.
