A 5-year-old child, Anubhav Giri, riding a motorcycle, and a pedestrian, Lila Aryal, a local teacher of Malika 6, were injured in the accident. The bus, which was taking students of the local Siddha English Boarding School to a picnic, hit a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction on the descent of Malika-7, Arje Ramche.
According to relatives, the daughter of the deceased Manakala had gone on a motorcycle in the morning to pick up her grandson as she had to go for treatment. The cause of the accident has not been determined and further investigation is underway, police said. The bus is under police control.
