A young man from Tulsipur was arrested on Tuesday with Rs 6.481 million in cash. District Police Spokesperson DSP Chakra Bahadur Shah said that 24-year-old Durga Bahadur KC of Golaura, Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-6, was arrested from his home with cash.
A team led by DSP Hom Bahadur Parajuli, Chief of the Area Police Office, Tulsipur, searched KC's house in Golaura and found the notes, he said.
KC, who is involved in the plumbing profession, had returned to his house in Golaura from Kathmandu on Monday evening. Police said that he stole the money from the house of an internet operator in Bishalnagar, Kathmandu.
After a video of him stealing the money was seen on CCTV footage, the police received information and identified KC's house that night based on that video. DSP Shah said that KC is under control and further investigation is underway.
