The sixth Forteen Star Cup held in Gulmi, which was held on Saturday, was won by Mahendra Namuna Secondary School in Tamghas, the district headquarters. In the final match of the competition, Mahendra Namuna Secondary School won the title by defeating Palukha Secondary School in ISMA Rural Municipality-2 by a score of 2-0.
The Forteen Star Youth Club in Tamghas organized a secondary school level football competition at the Jaidhunga BP Park playground in Jharna, ISMA Rural Municipality-1.
14 schools participated in the competition. The winner, Mahendra Namuna Secondary School, received a cash prize of Rs 35,000.
Krishna Prasad Marasini, Principal of Mahendra Namuna Secondary School, said that the victory celebration was held to provide additional motivation to the students after winning the title in the competition. "We were able to win the title due to the excellent performance of the student-athletes and the hard work of the coaches and managers," he said. "The victory celebration encourages the players and inspires others." He said that they are always committed to providing encouragement to the game and the players.
