Work has begun on an additional one and a half kilometer road improvement project in the Ridi-Tamghas section of the Madan Bhandari Highway.

The work being done from Ridi to Runkhadaha has been further expanded, and the work of upgrading from Runkhadaha Ghumti to Raja has been progressing.

On 25 Jestha 2082, an agreement was reached and the construction of 1.74 kilometers of road at a cost of 108.6 million rupees was being done by Tirupate Construction Service/Om Nam JV Dang, according to Humnath Paudel, Information Officer of the Madan Bhandari Highway Project Office, Gulmi. The work to be completed on 25 Jestha 2083 has so far made five percent physical progress.

The road will be widened by leaving one and a half meters on the right and left and seven meters of road in the middle will be paved. Accordingly, work was being done from Ridi to Runkhadaha. Now, work has progressed on an additional 1700 meters. After this, 26 kilometers of the 45 kilometers of road in this section will be paved with 700 meters of road widening.

No contract has been signed for the remaining 18 kilometers of road so far. The remaining roads are under the Road Division Office and will come under his office once the contract is awarded and the work progresses, said Senior Division Engineer Ramesh Chaudhary, Chief of the Madan Bhandari Highway Project Office, Gulmi.
