A motorcyclist has died after being hit by a truck in Barrohiya, Mayadevi Rural Municipality-1, along the Taulihawa-Bhairahawa road section.
On Tuesday night, a motorcycle (Lu18Pa 8769) heading from Taulihawa to Bhairahawa was hit by a truck (LuPr01-001Kha0683) coming from the opposite direction, seriously injuring the motorcycle driver, Osama Mohammad Musalman, 25, of Mayadevi Rural Municipality-6, Dumra.
Osama was taken to Kapilvastu Hospital in Taulihawa for treatment, where doctors declared him dead. Police have taken the truck and the truck driver into custody from Labani and are investigating, said DSP Ripendra Kumar Singh, Information Officer of the District Police.
