Four local levels in Kapilvastu have closed schools after thick fog and cold wave affected normal life. The lack of sunshine and fog for a week has severely affected normal life.
Yashodhara Rural Municipality in the district has given a holiday from Poush 9 to 14 and Suddhodhan Rural Municipality from Poush 11 to 18. Similarly, Mayadevi has given a holiday from Poush 9 to 14 and Kapilvastu Municipality from Poush 9 to 11. The holidays have been given for 3 to 8 days.
Kapilvastu Municipality Chief Sudip Poudel said that the school holiday has been given as a deduction from the winter vacation. He also said that the vacation can be extended depending on the situation.
