The free camp, in the presence of specialist doctors, is being held to gradually expand the service delivery of Chandrakot Basic Hospital and provide services to citizens of rural areas who are deprived of treatment.

A free comprehensive health camp has been organized by Chandrakot Rural Municipality, with technical support from the Lions Club of Butwal, and managed by Chandrakot Basic Hospital. 218 patients have benefited from this specialist health camp.

The health camp was attended by obstetrician and gynecologist Senior Dr. Sharmila Sharma, radiologist Senior Dr. Basanta Sharma, orthopedic and spine specialist Senior Dr. Jayaraj Sharma, Dr. Bikesh Gupta, as well as general physician Senior Dr. Maheshraj Ghimire, Dr. Vijesh Gupta, pediatric specialist Dr. Saju Aryal, general and laparoscopic surgeon Dr. Ashish Malla, information officer of Chandrakot rural municipality, Shiva Prasad Gyawali, informed. Free eye treatment, ECG, video X-ray and lab tests were also conducted from the camp.

In addition, Chandrakot Basic Hospital was provided with one CBC hematology analyzer, one OPOCT analyzer, one semibiochemistry analyzer and one centrifuge analyzer machine. This assistance was provided by Senior Public Health Officer Basanta Kumar Shrestha, who is currently working at the Health Services Department, Teku, Kathmandu and Thaple Satyawati Medical and Thaple Satyawati Surgical Maitripath, Butwal. They were also honored, said the Rural Municipality Chairman Yubaraj KC.
