Traveling by car, which used to be difficult due to the very narrow and difficult turns, has now become easier.

Travel has become easier after the road from Ridi to Runkhadaha in the first section of the Madan Bhandari Highway from Ridi to Tamghas in Gulmi has become wider and paved in most places.

In this section, the Madan Bhandari Highway Project Office, Gulmi, is working on a 25-kilometer road section parallel to the road. The agreement was signed on Falgun 26, 2079, and the work was completed by Falgun 25, 2082, at a cost of Rs 1.646 billion, informed Humnath Paudel, Information Officer of the Madan Bhandari Highway Project Office, Gulmi.

Under this project, which will be paved with a width of 7 meters, there will be a road of 1.5 meters on the right and 1.5 meters on the left. Information Officer Paudel says that so far, 85 percent physical progress and 80 percent financial progress have been made.

In most places, the road has been paved using black paper and slopes. Work is underway in the remaining areas, including demolition of houses and distribution of compensation. The work is mainly being done in Baleksar Bazaar, Shringa Bazaar, Bheduwa Bazaar and Birbas Bazaar.

Driver Ashim Khadka said that the road paving that has been completed so far has reduced the journey time to 15/20 minutes. This first section under the Madan Bhandari Highway has crossed the Gulmi gateway, Rurukshetra Rural Municipality and Chhatrakot Rural Municipality. Work is underway in the initial section of Gulmidurbar Rural Municipality. This section passes through Gulmidurbar, Gulmi Resunga Municipality, Gulmi headquarters Tamghas, Chaldi, Simaltari, Sautamare and reaches the Pyuthan border.

In this section, the Gandakot-Tamghas section is still through the Road Division Office Palpa with its old narrow road and difficult turns. The work on the remaining sections has been completed and is in the process of being completed.
