Damkada Secondary School has received the quality mark for the first time in the district by fulfilling 51 indicators, which has paved the way for the school to become ISO certified, according to the school coordinator.

Palpa's Damkada Secondary School has received the International Standardization Organization (ISO) label for meeting at least 51 percent of the 52 indicators of school improvement.
Global Quality Council Nepal representative Sudeep Sharmal presented certificates with the mark to Tansen Municipality Mayor Santosh Lal Shrestha, Deputy Chief of the District Coordination Committee Kashika Gaire, Chairman of the School Management Committee Rajesh Kumar Aryal, School Principal Mohan Prasad Sapkota, and School Coordinator Jeevan Acharya.
Damkada has become the first school in the district to receive the quality mark. The school has stated that it has been working hard for seven months for quality improvement. After completing 51 indicators of school improvement, the specified indicators have been monitored, evaluated, and certified and the certificate has been awarded. The school coordinator Acharya said that the path to being declared as a fully ISO certified school has now been opened.
Damkada Secondary School has 950 students and 50 teachers and staff. The physical condition of the classrooms, availability of technology and educational materials should be good, curriculum implementation, effective teaching and learning technology of the prescribed curriculum should be effective, among others. Similarly, the evaluation system: Student evaluation methods, result analysis, and improvement strategies should be scientific. Also, the school has stated that the vision and strategy: The school's long-term goals, vision, and quality policies should be clear and that they are being implemented.
