Police have taken 69-year-old Hum Bahadur Somai of Dandadum, Tansen Municipality-9, Palpa into custody with an illegally loaded gun.

A police team deployed from the temporary police post Madiphant took Somai under control. He was found drying an illegal loaded gun in the sun on his own land, said Hom Bahadur Chaudhary, information officer at the District Police Office, Palpa. According to him, an investigation is underway against Somai.

Meanwhile, Palpa police have arrested two absconding defendants and sent them to the Palpa District Court. The police said that Nabin Thapa, 55, of Tansen Municipality-7, who has been sentenced to 1 month and 17 days in prison and a fine of Rs 500 in a murder case, has been taken under control and sent to the court. 

Similarly, the police have taken control of Jeevan BK, 40, of Tinau Rural Municipality-2, who has been sentenced to 5 months and 13 days in prison in a weapons and ammunition case. 

A police team deployed from the District Police Office, Palpa, said that they found him on Sunday during a search. He has been presented to the Palpa District Court for necessary action, said Information Officer Chaudhary.
