Sakar Shahi, a student of New Horizon Boarding School, has won first place in the district-level inter-school singing competition.

Shahi, who is studying in class 9, has received the first prize of Rs 10,000 and a trophy in a competition organized by Tinau English Boarding School in Rupandehi.

Shahi, who is very interested in singing, has a bright future in music due to his hard work and dedication, said Vishal Thapa, music teacher at New Horizon Boarding School. In the competition, Shahi won the hearts of the judges by singing Narayan Gopal's song 'Banai Khayo Dadhelole'. After the competition, Shahi said, 'It is not easy to sing songs of the old generation, I worked very hard.'

Oxford Secondary School came second in the singing competition, Sainik Residential College came third, and Ex-Army School, Nayagaun came fourth.
