The identities of the two deceased in the jeep accident that took place in Mityal, Nisdi Rural Municipality-4, Palpa have been revealed. The identity of one person is yet to be revealed, according to the police. The jeep (Lu 1 Ja 3908) met with an accident at a place called Ekalphoksing, near Mityal Churibas, Nisdi Rural Municipality-4, along the Rampur-Mityal-Arunkhola road section.

The District Police Office, Palpa, has identified the deceased as Om Kumari Khamcha, 45, of Nisdi Rural Municipality-4, Mityal Thoksingbas, and Hem Kumari Saru, 36, of Nisdi Rural Municipality-7, Jyamire Huwas. The identity of one more person is yet to be revealed. 

Eight passengers were injured in the accident. All the injured have been rescued and sent to the Provincial Hospital in Danda, Nawalpur. The accident occurred around 10 am on Friday while the jeep was coming from Arunkhola on Mahendra Highway in Nawalpur towards Rampur in Palpa, informed the District Police Office, Palpa.

According to the initial details of the accident, which was 75 kilometers away from the district headquarters, Tansen, three people died on the spot. The police said that they received initial information that the jeep overturned while disembarking passengers due to the steepness of the dirt road and the jeep could not pull it.

 The jeep involved in the accident has fallen into a ravine about a kilometer below the road. There is a steep incline here. Local residents have informed that most of the jeeps plying Mityal Arunkhola carry twice the capacity of passengers and even put them on the roof.
