Three people have died in a jeep accident in Mityal, Nisdi Rural Municipality-4, Palpa.
The jeep accident occurred at a place called Ekalphoksing near Nisdi-4 Churibas under the Mityal-Arunkhola road section.
Eight people were injured in the accident, police said. The jeep (Lu 1 Ja 3908) coming from Arunkhola in Nawalpur to Rampur in Palpa met with an accident on Friday morning, according to the District Police Office, Palpa.
According to initial reports, three people died on the spot. Their identities have not been revealed, said Hom Prakash Chaudhary, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Palpa.
Locals have informed that the accident occurred after the jeep failed to pull on the uphill road and the passengers were disembarking. The jeep fell about a kilometer down the road. The injured have been rescued and sent to the Provincial Hospital in Nawalpur Danda.
