Former Ethiopian Prime Minister Tamrat Lane has made an observation tour of Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha.

On Thursday, he visited the Mayadevi Temple, Ashoka Pillar and Pushkarani Pond in Lumbini.

Former Prime Minister Lane was briefed by Lumbini Development Master Plan, excavation and conservation efforts in Lumbini, and Lumbini's archaeological and historical importance by Lumbini Development Trust Senior Director Gyanin Rai.
