Twenty-two people were injured when a bus (Na 8 Kha 7455) heading from Dadeldhura to Kathmandu met with an accident on Thursday morning on the East-West Highway at Kaudiyapul in Lamahi Municipality-1.
The bus fell from the bridge into the river after the belt broke. All the injured have been discharged after treatment at Lamahi Hospital, Lamahi, and all are in normal condition, said DSP Chakra Bahadur Shah, spokesperson of the District Police Office.
He informed that the bus driver, 36-year-old Rajendra Kaini of Amargadhi Municipality-7, Dadeldhura, has been taken into custody.
