One person has died after a car coming from Nepalgunj towards Gulariya hit a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.
A woman riding a motorcycle was injured in the accident, police said. Raja Acharya, 25, of Sukatiya Rural Municipality-3, Kalikot, died when a car (number Ba Pra 01026 Pa 0710) driven by 19-year-old Nasim Sai of Banke Khajura Rural Municipality-7 hit him, said Police Inspector Achyut Giri of the Area Police Office, Mainapokhar.
Nirmala Dhital, 23, of Shubhapalika Rural Municipality-3, Kalikot, who was riding a motorcycle (number Bhe 11 Pa 726), was seriously injured, said Prani Giri. She is undergoing treatment at the Teaching Hospital in Nepalgunj. The seriously injured were sent to the Teaching Hospital in Nepalgunj, but Acharya died during treatment, said Police Inspector Giri.
The car and driver Rain have been taken into custody by the police. The incident took place on the Hulaki Road section in Pushpanagar, Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality-3. Acharya's body has been kept at Bheri Hospital, according to the police.
