Police have taken a person into custody on suspicion of involvement in the shooting incident at the Juntara Gold and Silver Shop in Lamahi Municipality-5, Dang.

A man opened fire on a gold and silver shop in Lamahi Gali on Saturday afternoon and fled. 18-year-old Deepak Sunar, a craftsman working at the shop, was injured in the gunfire. He is currently undergoing treatment at Lamahi Hospital, police said.

A team from the District Police Office, Dang, has taken the person involved in the incident into custody from Ghorahi and started an investigation, police sources said. However, the details of the arrested person have not been disclosed. 

‘The person involved in the incident is being taken into custody and an investigation is underway,’ a police source said. ‘It has been revealed that the person called the gold and silver shop and said that he needed a lot of gold.’
