Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has visited Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. He visited and inspected the Mayadevi Temple, Ashoka Pillar and Pushkarani Pond in Lumbini.

Home Minister Aryal was briefed by Lumbini Development Master Plan, excavation and conservation efforts in Lumbini, and Lumbini's archaeological and historical importance by Lumbini Development Trust's Working Member-Secretary Gyanin Rai. 

Along with Home Minister Aryal, Home Secretary Rameshwor Dangal, Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki, and Inspector General of Armed Police Raju Aryal also visited Lumbini.
