The two-way road has been blocked after an excavator, REE 33, used for road expansion work at the Painsaththi turn of Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-2 in East Nawalparasi, broke down.
According to the District Police Office, East Nawalparasi, efforts are being made to remove the broken excavator. Since it is a large piece of equipment, it is difficult to remove it from the road, work is being done to remove the obstruction using a dozer.
Hundreds of vehicles are stuck in the road due to the road blockage. During the road expansion, problems with slippery roads, potholes and heavy vehicles getting stuck in this section have been causing problems in traffic every day. The police are trying to clear the road.
