A 40-year-old woman who had been missing for 10 days in Gulmi has been found dead. Sita Thapa, 40, of Rajasthal, Dhurkot Rural Municipality-6 in the district was found dead in Bastu, Ward No. 5, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganga Bahadur Saru, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Gulmi.
Thapa, the 40-year-old wife of 42-year-old Ghanshyam Thapa, a resident of Lahata in Rajasthal, Dhurkot Rural Municipality-6, left her home at 2 pm on Kartik 26 without informing anyone. Since she went missing, her relatives had given verbal information to the police station only on Mangsir 4 for the search.
During the search, she was found dead in an empty house in Kumla Bandanda, Dhurkot Rural Municipality-5, Bastu. After that, a team of two people under the command of Police Assistant Inspector Sharada Bhatta from Police Station Dhurkot Bastu and a team of five people under the command of Police Inspector Rewant Sen from Area Police Office Purkotdaha were deployed. The body was in a state of decomposition.
The District Police Office, Gulmi, has stated that further investigation into the incident is underway.
