Lilamani Sharma has been elected as the president of the Lumbini Hotel Association at its seventh annual general meeting and fourth convention.
The convention held on Saturday elected a new 15-member working committee with Sharma as its president unopposed.
Shekhar Karki, Bhupendra Gurung and Tika Kumari Kattel have been elected as the senior vice-president, vice-president and general secretary of the association respectively. Similarly, Ekraj Kandel, Deepak Pangeni and Dheeraj Bhandari have been elected as the secretary, treasurer and co-treasurer respectively. The members include Padma Kafle Neupane, Prajul Karki Chhetri, Dipendralal Baniya, Ashok Kumar Gupta, Kishore Yadav, Anil Kumar Gupta, Rojan Shakya and Janak Bahadur Somaimagar.
The convention held at the Kasai Hotel in Lumbini was inaugurated by Lumbini Province Youth and Sports Minister Santosh Pandey.
Chairman Sharma said that by working on new plans and strategies, they will launch the Let's Travel Lumbini Campaign to promote tourism and work for the benefit of businessmen.
