The registration of national identity card details has begun at the Area Administration Office, Semri, in West Nawalparasi. The obligation to travel hours to the District Administration Office, Parasi, for identity cards from the southern part of the district has been eliminated.

Earlier, only citizenship work was being done from the Area Administration Office, Semri.

Chief District Officer Krishna Prasad Lamsal said that this service was started keeping in mind the problems of the service recipients. Now, residents of wards 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 of Susta, Pratappur Rural Municipality and Bardaghat Municipality of the district will get the service from the Area Administration Office, Semri.

Pratappur Rural Municipality Chief Umesh Chandra Yadav and Chief District Officer Lamsal launched the service by registering the national identity card details of Jyoti Chaudhary of Pratappur Rural Municipality.

Chief District Officer Krishna Prasad Lamsal said that preparations are underway to register the national identity card details of the disabled and elderly residents of Ward No. 5 of Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality in East Nawalparasi District.

Since the residents of Triveni in Gandaki Province are forced to go to the district headquarters Kawasoti via Bardaghat in Lumbini Province, the service is being provided to the disabled and elderly for their convenience.
