Police Inspector Jhalak Prasad Sharma said that a 31-year-old mother killed her 4-year-old daughter by hitting her on the head with a sharp sickle while she was cutting vegetables in the morning.

The mother had been taking medication for mental problems for a few years. Police have taken her into custody after the incident.
