A man has been arrested on charges of murdering his wife at a residence located in a hotel complex in Siddharthanagar-8, Rupandehi.
The husband of 20-year-old Melina Pariyar of Nisikhola-6, Raskot, Baglung, who was working at Hotel Lumbini Gate in Siddharthnagar-8, was absconding after her murder.
According to District Police Spokesperson DSP Suraj Karki, Melina's body was found inside the hotel compound three days ago. During the investigation of the incident, a fight broke out between the husband and wife on suspicion that the husband was chatting with another woman on social media. DSP Karki informed that it was revealed that the husband had drugged his wife and killed her.
Police said that Kunwar, who was absconding after the incident, was arrested on Friday while hiding in Basarpak, Butwal-9.
Police said that the arrested Kunwar has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
