CPN-UML Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali has said that he does not believe that the elections will be held due to the distance the current government has increased with political parties. He said this while addressing a public meeting organized by CPN-UML Gulmi in Tamghas, the district headquarters, on Saturday.
He alleges that the current government is not trying to hold elections while people around the Prime Minister, who are not recognized by the constitution, are warning that if the old leaders come to the elections, their candidacies will be rejected. 'The government is not in the direction of holding elections, the demands of the genji are different,' he said, 'The current situation of not restoring the parliament and not holding elections will cause further crisis.' He said that there will be no elections by banning political parties in the party system.
He also argues that the CPN-UML is ready to go to the elections. 'The CPN-UML is ready to go to the elections,' said Deputy General Secretary Gyawali, 'There must be a guarantee of fairness and fearlessness for the elections.' But he said that the current government has not been able to ensure that.
Gyawali also argues that it is not possible to believe that the elections will be held by announcing the date of the elections but not allowing the top leaders to go outside the valley. He claimed that the country is going into crisis due to political instability and manipulation of external forces.
He said that the CPN-UML is clear that both the dissolution of the House of Representatives and the current government are unconstitutional. He said that the current government is unconstitutional because it was formed without any of the four stages of Article 76 (1) of the Constitution, 76 (2) of a coalition government, 76 (3) of a government led by a leader of a major party, and 76 (4) of an independent government.
He said that the party should form a government by reinstating the parliament to establish peace in the country and including Genji. He also said that the demands will be addressed through talks and then the problem will be resolved automatically after the elections.
