The first Banganga Cycle Tour has been organized with the aim of promoting the tourist spots of the district and making it a tourist destination. The 70 km long cycle tour was organized by Banganga Riders Club from Jitpur in Banganga on Saturday.

More than 400 cyclists from all over the country, including world cyclist Pushkar Shah, participated in the cycle journey. The cycle journey started from No. 4 in Kapilvastu and ended at No. 4 via Pipra, Supadeurali Temple, Nandanagar Gurukul, Madhuvan Dham, Jinuwa, Kapil Dham, Laxmanghat, Jagadishpur, Sagarhawa, Niglihawa, Rajapani and Madhauli Park.

The cyclists were welcomed by locals with garlands and musical instruments at various places. Similarly, to make the journey organized, locals had distributed snacks and water and set up rest areas at various places.

The route has been decided by including the major tourist attractions of all 11 wards of Banganga Municipality and Jagadishpur Lake in Wards No. 9 and 10 of Kapilvastu Municipality. The journey, which started at 7:30 am on Saturday, ended at 5:30 pm. Bicycle tour in Banganga to promote tourism

Kapilvastu has all kinds of places, lakes, canals, historical and archaeological sites that can attract tourists, said Mohan Singh Lalchan, chairman of Gharpajhong Rural Municipality in Mustang, a participant in the trip.

World cyclist Pushkar Shah said that the bicycle trip organized by connecting cyclists in most parts of the country has played a major role in promoting domestic tourism. He said that the bicycle trip will increase proximity to the village, nature, life and local lifestyle.

More than 400 cyclists from 22 districts participated in the bicycle trip. Banganga Riders Club chairman Bishnu Prasad Sapkota said that the trip helped in promoting the historical, cultural, rural and natural scenic spots here. The bicycle trip was inaugurated by Lumbini Provincial Assembly member Bishnu Panthi.
