The main Sandhikharka-Gorusinghe road connecting the district headquarters will be closed for most of the day for fifteen days for maintenance and upgrading. From Wednesday to November 10, the road will be closed to traffic from 10 am to 4 pm to carry out maintenance.

Chief District Officer Toyanarayan Subedi said that the road had to be closed for maintenance and upgrading work in the Sitapur-Thada area of ​​the section using power machines. He said that in a meeting with the concerned bodies including the engineer of the Division Office Shivpur, which is the area of ​​work of the Sandhikharka-Gorusinghe road, it was decided to close the road in the afternoon to ensure the quality of the road and to complete the construction work quickly. Santosh Acharya, Engineer of the Road Division Office, also said that traffic movement can be opened intermittently as needed. He said that currently 10 km of the road will be repaired and upgraded. He said that the machines will work only from 10 am to 4 pm for a fortnight and that traffic will continue regularly at other times. There is no other alternative road to travel to the district headquarters.
