Two people have died and one has been injured in a motorcycle accident in Panini Rural Municipality-3, Nigali village, while they were coming towards Durgaphant. The motorcycle (Na 36 Pa 3509) was carrying three people including the driver.
The deceased were identified as 18-year-old driver Gautam Bik, a resident of Panini Rural Municipality-4, Nigali, and 24-year-old Sagar Bik, a resident of the same village, who was behind the accident, Arghakhanchi Police Chief Divas GC said.
They were seriously injured and were taken to Arghakhanchi Hospital. They died during treatment. The incident took place at Durgaphant at 7:40 pm. Both suffered head injuries.
Similarly, 25-year-old Santosh Gharti, who was sitting behind the motorcycle, was seriously injured. He was taken to a private hospital in Khajyang, Gulmi for further treatment. After he could not be treated there, he was referred to Palpa for further treatment. He has suffered head injuries.
GC said that three people were riding on a two-person motorcycle and further investigation into the incident is underway.
