Red certificates have been distributed to the locals of Rohini Rural Municipality of Rupandehi. The certificates were distributed to 550 locals during a program in Ward No. 6 of the municipality on Sunday.
The problem is that the locals do not have the title deeds, said the municipality chairman, Bidya Prasad Yadav. He said that it is a matter of joy for the citizens to be able to say that the land is theirs.
'Last year, we distributed it to 450 people,' he said, 'This time, after a lot of effort, the locals got the title deeds. This will also make it easier for their descendants.'
Mani Prasad Regmi, the chief surveyor of the survey office, Rupandehi, said that the title deeds will be distributed to all wards gradually. He said that the joy seen in the citizens when they legally make the land they are cultivating their own will leave a positive impression.
