A prisoner who escaped from Jagannath Dewal Prison in Kathmandu on Bhadra 10 was arrested in Palpa on Sunday.

Rudra Prasad Neupane, 35, who had absconded from Jagannath Dewal Prison, Kathmandu during the protest, was arrested from his own house in Purbakhola Rural Municipality-3, Ringnerah, according to Hom Prakash Chaudhary, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Palpa.

Police have stated that Neupane is an absconding prisoner in a banking case. Based on the continuous surveillance of the Police Office, Palpa and confidential information, a police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Purbakhola under the command of a police assistant inspector took him into custody on the afternoon of Kartik 16. Neupane has been sent to prison through the District Police Office, Palpa.
