Two people have died and four others have been injured in an auto accident in Bhume, east of Rukum.
The accident occurred on the Mid-Hill Highway in Bhume Rural Municipality-1, Syawal, at around 7:30 pm on Saturday. According to the District Police Office, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law of the same house died after an auto accident while they were going from Lugum village to Brahtal. The deceased include 30-year-old Rejina Gharti of Bhume-1, Lugum, and 25-year-old Fisolti Gharti.
The accident has left 26-year-old Pratiksha Budha of Lugum and her 11-month-old son Subham Budha, and 25-year-old Beauty Pun and 3-year-old Saksham Gharti of the same place. The injured are being treated at the District Hospital, Rukumkot.
The police said that the auto went out of control and fell about 300 meters off the road. The police also said that a detailed investigation into the incident is underway.
