A Shree Airlines plane flying from Dhangadhi to Kathmandu has made an emergency landing at Gautam Buddha Airport in Bhairahawa.

According to the airport, the pilot of flight number 222 had reported a 'hydraulic failure'. According to airport director and spokesperson Shyam Kishore Sah, the plane diverted to Bhairahawa at 10 am on Saturday and landed. After landing, the plane got stuck on the runway for some time.

'The plane has now reached the parking lot under its own power,' Sah said, 'Engineers and technicians from the relevant company will come and make a decision from the plane.' He said that although the flight and landing were stopped for some time due to the plane getting stuck on the runway, it has now resumed operations.

The airport has informed that 82 people on board the plane, including the crew, are safe and have been taken off the plane and taken to a safe place.
