Since there is no prison in East Nawalparasi, many of the prisoners here have been kept in this prison in Parasi, the headquarters of West Nawalparasi.
There were 575 prisoners in the prison with a capacity of 175. After rumors of prison vandalism spread across the country, the prisoners here also escaped. At that time, 29 people remained in prison without escaping.
