The District Administration Office, Bardiya, has arrested a prisoner who escaped from Naubasta Prison during the Gen-G movement while trying to make a copy of his citizenship.

Ram Sharan Chaudhary, 23, of Gulariya Municipality-5, Banke, who escaped from Naubasta Prison on Bhadra 25, has been arrested. He was serving a prison sentence in a rape case. Chaudhary, who escaped from prison about a month and a half ago, was taken into custody after being questioned while collecting a copy of his citizenship, said Bimal Gurung, Administrative Officer of the District Administration Office, Bardiya. 

Four of the 49 prisoners from Bardiya district who escaped from various prisons in the country have been arrested. Police have said that a search is underway for the other escaped prisoners.
