Hundreds of vehicles traveling east-west along the Mahendra Highway have been stopped at Dumkibas and Bardaghat since 3 am on Thursday.
Due to the normal rainfall, the highway has become slippery and traffic is jammed in the Daun section.
According to local Sunil Khanal, the highway was blocked after a vehicle skidded near the Bishwakarma Temple in Daunne.
Hundreds of vehicles traveling east-west along the Mahendra Highway have been stopped at Dumkibas and Bardaghat since 3 am on Thursday. According to the Area Police Office, Dumkibas, the highway has become impassable due to moderate rain.
The Road Department has been informed to lay gravel on the unpaved road near the Bishwakarma Temple. Moderate rain has been falling in eastern Nawalparasi since 2 am.
