Three people have died in an EV accident that occurred in Chhahara, Palpa on Wednesday. The driver of the EV, 31-year-old Kamal Rayamajhi, died in the accident, while the identities of the other two have not been revealed. Police have just reached the spot. The driver, Rayamajhi, is from Rainadevi Chhahara-4, Amlawas.

Locals of Chhahara have informed that there were three people, including the driver, in the crashed EV vehicle bearing the number Lumbini Province 01-001 Ja 0091. While going from Butwal to Mehldap in Rainadevi Chhahara via Tansen, the Palpa district headquarters, the EV vehicle met with an accident in Bhanjyang near Rainadevi Chhahara-4, Chhahara Bokhar, informed Mahesh Baral, executive member of Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality. According to him, the crashed EV has reached the creek about 200 meters below the road.

According to local hoteliers, a search operation was launched after the EV, which left Chhahara at around 11:30 am, did not reach Mehldap for a long time. While searching, the Area Police Office, Mujung, received information about the accident around 1:30 pm.

‘The search was launched after the EV, which was supposed to reach Mehldap in 20 minutes, did not reach in two hours,’ said local Baral, ‘only then was the search for the vehicle started.’

According to the District Police Office, Palpa, a police team from the Area Police Office, Mujung, reached the spot and rescued the injured and sent them to the hospital. The police have reached the spot and are conducting further investigation into the accident.
