Samir Gurung, alias Shyam Magar, 28, a resident of Kaski Pokhara Metropolitan City-21, who is serving a prison sentence in a drug case at the Nawalparasi Prison Office, was arrested, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Hom Prakash Chaudhary, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Palpa.
Based on the continuous surveillance of the police and confidential information, a police team deployed under the command of a police constable from Police Post Prabhas Palpa made the arrest at around 3 am on Sunday morning.
He was found near Prabhas in Sadikhola, Tansen Municipality-10, near his in-laws' house, and was taken into custody and sent to the Prison Office, Palpa, according to the police. Palpa police have previously arrested two absconding prisoners and sent them to prison.
