One person has died in a tiger attack in Banke. The deceased has been identified as Indra Bahadur Khatri, 40, of Gurubagaun Numantol, Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality-9.

Locals searched for Khatri, who had gone to cut grass in Rimna Community Forest, after he went missing.

His body was found in a decomposed state. Birendra Bahadur Kandel, Chief Conservation Officer of the park, said that work is underway to identify the tiger that attacked the people.

As such incidents continue to occur in Banke National Park, the public around the park is panicking.
