Police have arrested 12 people in Ghorahi on charges of gambling. District Police Spokesperson DSP Chakra Bahadur Shah informed that 12 people were arrested while gambling in Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan City-7, Saudiyar on Thursday.
Shah said that the police, who arrived at Dinesh Chaudhary's house based on a confidential tip-off that he was gambling with money, arrested them with Rs 132,580 in cash while they were gambling.
Those arrested are Nek Bahadur Chaudhary, 31, Kamal Chaudhary, 36, Ekraj Chaudhary, 30, Binod Chaudhary, 30, Sitaram Chaudhary, 26, and Amish Chaudhary, 30, of Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan City-7, Shukra.
Similarly, Shankar Chaudhary, 31, of Dabargaun, Ghorahi-7, Kaluram Chaudhary, 39, and Ujjwal Chaudhary, 22, of Rajpur, Ghorahi-7, have been arrested.
Similarly, Sunil Bista, 21, of Ghorahi-15, Basanta DC, 38, and Tukman Bista, 22, have also been arrested, DSP Shah said. He informed that further investigation is being carried out by keeping them under control.
