A pedestrian died after being hit by a bus in Butwal on Monday morning. Dinesh Yadav, 35, a resident of Badsuduwa, Vijayanagar Rural Municipality-7, Kapilvastu, died after being hit by a bus (Lu 2 Kha 4097) while leaving the Lumbini Bus Terminal.
Deputy Superintendent of Police of the Area Police Office, Butwal, Indra Bahadur Rana, said that the bus that hit Yadav and its driver, 40-year-old Bhim Magar of Bardaghat Municipality-9 in West Nawalparasi, have been taken into custody.
After being hit by the bus, Yadav was immediately taken to Lumbini Provincial Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Police said that Yadav, who was working as a painter in Butwal, was on his way home to the bus park in the morning after the Tihar holiday when he was hit by the bus.
