The body of 10-year-old Bharti (Angel) Deuba of Geruwa Rural Municipality-5 Zhabhi was found on Monday four days after she went missing.
The victim's family informed the police after she went to a relative's house in Ganeshpur at around 3 o'clock on Friday, October 17, and did not return home.
She went to the wedding party riding a small bicycle. Her body was found on the bank of Gudi river, 2 km north of her house in Ganeshpur, said DSP Kavindrasingh Bohora of the area police office, Rajapur. "His shoes, clothes and bicycle were also found at the scene," he said.
A local resident has said that the girl's death is suspicious. The police said that the body will be taken to Nepalgunj for post-mortem.
