One person has gone missing after a crocodile attacked the Geruwa River in Rajipur, Geruwa Rural Municipality-2, which is connected to the Bardia National Park.

The young man went missing when he was attacked by a crocodile on Monday afternoon when he went to water the buffalo.

Sarojmani Paudel, information officer and senior conservation officer of Bardia National Park, said that 25-year-old Vivash Tharu of the same place was the one who went missing in the crocodile attack.

Nepal Army Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and Vanataria Range Post have deployed the park staff for the rescue operation. "The wild elephant chased the elephant that went out of the park to search for the missing person," he said.

19-year-old Rupmilan Tharu of Madhuvan Municipality-1 Kailash died on the bank of Khauraha river in Kailash on 20th of July.
