Bardghat Municipality has started action against public representatives and employees involved in vandalism and arson of private and public property during Gen-G movement on 23rd and 24th of August.

After it was found that the elected public representatives and the current employees of the municipality were involved in the incident of arson and vandalism in the houses of leaders including mayor, deputy mayor, former mayor and member of the Constituent Assembly Vikram Khanal, the municipality took action.

 Bardghat Municipality Chief Administrative Officer Baburam Paudel informed that a 7-member investigation committee has been formed under the coordination of Mayor Shambhulal Shrestha.

Mayor Shrestha informed that it has been agreed to close all service facilities of public representatives involved in vandalism and arson and to take action up to the removal of the employee from the municipality. According to the municipality, evidence was found that at least 8 people (people's representatives and employees) were involved in vandalism in the preliminary investigation. .
