On August 24th, the police arrested two people who committed arson, vandalism and looting in the government offices of Nepalgunj.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Patli, Police Spokesperson of District Police Office Banke, said that Shalikram Pathak and Deepak Tamata of Nepalganj Jaispur were found to be involved in arson, vandalism and robbery.
He said that they were arrested and the necessary investigation has been started and the process of identifying and searching for others is underway.

On the 24th of August, more than three dozen government offices, four local level offices and six ward offices as well as party offices of three major parties in Nepalgunj and Kohalpur were burnt down during the agitation.
