Three main roads including Kaligandaki Corridor have been blocked in Gulmi. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganga Bahadur Saru informed that the road has been blocked since Wednesday morning due to the rain since Tuesday morning.
Landslide in Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-2 Rakse of Kaligandaki Corridor, increased water flow in Satyavati Rural Municipality-6 Dahare river in Gulmi section of Rudraveni-Wami in Butwal-Vurtiwang road section, Bhir landslide in Satyavati-4 of the same section and Rurukshetra Rural Municipality-3 Salleri in Ridi Tamghas road section blocked the road. There is an alternative road only in Riddy-Tamghas section. Elsewhere, traffic is completely at a standstill.

Gulmi section of the corridor has been blocked many times in Ward No. 1, 2 and 3 of Kaligandaki rural municipality. Dahre Khola Ridi-Wami road section. This is Rudraveni-Wami section of Butwal Vurtiwang road section.
When it rains in the Dahare river, when the river comes with black muddy mud, the path disappears. During this rainy season, the road is being blocked in Dahare River many times. Because of this, the passengers of public and private vehicles passing through this road are suffering.
Chief Superintendent of Police Narayan Prasad Adhikari of District Police Office Gulmi informed that efforts are currently being made to open the road.
