A woman has died after being attacked by a leopard in Raptisonari rural municipality-3 Sinawas of Banke.
45-year-old Lakshmi Tharu, who was missing since Sunday, was found dead on Monday near the old water tank of Janmukhi Community Forest. According to Shankar Gupta, Head of Division Forest Office, Banke, footprints of a leopard were seen around Tharu's body. He said that with the help of the camera, it was discovered that Tharu died due to a leopard attack. Gupta informed that a technical team was sent to capture the male leopard as the locals were panicking after the
incident.
