Rampur's recommendation system procedure for addressing violence against violence is public

Rampur municipality has published recommendation system procedure-2082 for justice against violence against women and children.

Procedures prepared to provide fast, efficient and effective services to women and children affected by domestic violence have been announced. Announcing the procedure, National Assembly member Rajendra Lakshmi Gayre said that due to the delay in the formulation of various laws, the federal democratic republican system could not be fully institutionalized so that the people could feel it.  Stating that the

procedure will provide ease of service to the citizens affected by violence, she said that the procedure has been prepared under the sole authority of the local government and that violence will be prevented as much as possible and justice will be ensured if it happens.

Raman Bahadur Thapa, head of Rampur municipality, said that although the constitution gives the local government the authority, it is difficult to carry out the work within its authority due to lack of clear procedures. He said that this procedure is historic to give justice against violence against women and children.

Municipality has prepared 17 laws, 9 regulations and 78 procedures. He said that the municipality will be committed to the implementation of the procedure. Udayaraj Bhattarai, Head of Area Administration Office Rampur, said that the procedure will be helpful in making the services available to the victims effective. Ram Bahadur Nepali, the head of the local police office, opined that the procedure will encourage people to go to the relevant agencies for justice.

Deputy Chief Balkumari Thapa said that a system has been built through the local level to provide services such as psychosocial services, security, protection, health treatment, legal assistance, education, rehabilitation, family reconciliation, etc. to women and children affected by violence. According to the Constitution of Nepal 2072, Local Government Operation Act 2074 and laws related to domestic violence, it is also within the responsibility of the local government.
